WOHS Student Wins Congressional Art Award

A local high school student received an award from Congressman Donald Payne, Jr.

A West Orange High School senior recently won a Congressional Art Award for the 10th District.

David Guy won Second Place in the New Jersey Congressional High School Art Competition for District 10, school officials report. Guy received his second place medal from Congressman Donald Payne, Jr.

Guy, a senior at WOHS, is an Advanced Placement art student and is a member of the West Orange High School Junior Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and of the WOHS wrestling team, school district officials said. Guy is also an accomplished bass player with the WOHS Jubilee Choir.

Guy will be attending the Rhode Island School of Design and studying art.
