47 Woodbridge Middle Schoolers Graduate From Junior Police Academy

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — On July 11, Woodbridge held a graduation ceremony for the first week of its 2025 Junior Police Academy.

This first session had 47 junior Police Academy student recruits.

The first session was July 7 - 11, and the second session was July 14 - 18. There are no more sessions this summer. Parents could sign their child up here: https://5il.co/3d2o9 Entry to the Woodbridge Junior Police Academy was open to any middle school student in Woodbridge Township (grades 6th through 8th). It is an intense one-week character-building program that focuses on experiencing different aspects of police-related topics.

The Woodbridge Junior Police Academy works on character building, teamwork and discipline and teaches the pre-teens and teens about:

• Motor vehicle stops
• Fatal Vision goggles and the effects of drinking and driving
• A SWAT team demonstration
• Crime scene and identification
• Fire and First Aid
• Physical Fitness
• Agility Course
• Self Defense
