WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Construction started Wednesday at what will become a new commercial warehouse at 51 New Brunswick Avenue, on the Fords/Hopelawn border.
No tenant or company has been named to move in there yet.
The warehouse is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2023 and will have 54,113 square feet of industrial space.

The property is owned by Woodmont Industrial Partners and they say the warehouse is in a prime location. When finished in the spring, the warehouse will have 32-foot clear height ceilings, ample parking, seven dock doors with optional expansion to nine, build-to-suit office space and easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway and Rts. 9 and 440.
Woodmont purchased that property in April 2022.

“Woodbridge presents an incredible opportunity for companies looking to establish a regional hub, headquarters or last-mile delivery center, as it offers access to an exceptional labor force and several main thoroughfares,” said Woodmont vice president Anthony Amadeo. “The industrial real estate market in prime locations is in high demand."
“We welcome the development at 51 New Brunswick Avenue, as it will not only generate quality jobs but also bring economic benefits to Woodbridge and our residents long-term,” said Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac.
Woodmont Industrial Partners is a joint venture between New Jersey-based Woodmont Properties commercial real estate company and Romark Logistics, a third-party logistics provider of advanced supply chain and logistic solutions.
Nearby, Woodmont just started building a 152,100-square-foot Class A warehouse in South Amboy and will begin the redevelopment and construction on a 209,000 square feet warehouse in South Brunswick this fall.
