WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A developer wants to tear down a private home and build a new jewelry store, with office space above, on Correja Avenue in Iselin, a residential block of single-family homes.

The owner of a property located at 106 Correja Avenue currently has this application before the Woodbridge Zoning Board to tear down the single-family home located there, and in its place construct a two-story office building with a jewelry store on the ground floor.

The property owner, Ram and Sons Properties, is seeking a variance, as this is a single-family residential area of Iselin.

The Woodbridge Zoning Board has not yet approved their request and there will be a public hearing on the matter at 6 p.m. this Thursday night, Sept. 22 at the regularly scheduled Zoning Board meeting, held in Council chambers of the Woodbridge Township building.

This will be a 1,314-square-foot jewelry store on the first floor and a 1,480-square-foot office on the second floor, according to MyCentralJersey, which obtained the development plans. Ram and Sons will also be building eight parking spaces there, plus add professional lighting, landscaping and a 325-square-foot digital sign.
