Meet The 2nd Class Of Graduates From Woodbridge Junior Police Camp

It was an intense one-week program that teaches teenagers character building, teamwork and discipline.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — And here's the second class of graduates from the Woodbridge Police Department's Junior Police Academy.

These students had their graduation ceremony last Friday, July 18.

All Woodbridge middle school students, in grades sixth through eighth, could join the junior police camp, run by Woodbridge Police. It was an intense one-week program that teaches teenagers character building, teamwork and discipline.

The campers, or police "recruits," were taught how the WPD conducts:

  • Motor vehicle stops
  • Uses Fatal Vision goggles to teach about drunk driving
  • A SWAT team demonstration
  • Crime scene and identification
  • Fire and First Aid
  • Physical Fitness
  • Agility Course
  • Self Defense
