South Amboy Irish Festival Postponed Due To Hurricane Ian
The heavy rain forecast from the storm system prompted officials to reschedule the event. Here's the new event details:
SOUTH AMBOY, NJ - Heavy rain in the forecast for New Jersey this weekend due to remnants of Hurricane Ian has prompted South Amboy officials to postpone the city's Irish Festival.
The cancellation of Saturday's events was announced Thursday morning in a Facebook post by the city of South Amboy.

The free Irish Festival, now in its second year, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 2 to 8:30 p.m. at the Raritan Bay Waterfront Park (John T. O'Leary Boulevard).
The festivities are set to include musical performances by "Irish America's Favorite Son" Andy Cooney and the Willie Lynch Band, as well as demonstrations from the D.B. Kelly Pipes and Drums, the Lynn Academy of Irish Dance and the Fitzgerald School of Irish Dance.

Puppeteers, kids' music and interactive activities are also planned, according to a news release from the city. For adults, an outdoor beer garden will be available onsite.
A fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. will conclude the day's events, organizers said.
