Update On Woodbridge Bowling Alley Being Torn Down
At their meeting last week, the Woodbridge Planning Board gave final approval for the former Woodbridge Bowling Center to be torn down.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — At their Aug. 27 meeting, the Woodbridge Planning Board gave final approval for the former Woodbridge Bowling Center to be torn down, and a self-storage facility to be built in its place, 326 Main Street.
This will be a five-story, 107,000-square-foot self-storage facility with associated parking and landscaping improvements, a Woodbridge Township spokesman said this week.
While the Planning Board gave its final OK last week, there is still no time-frame given as to when the Bowling Center will be demolished. It will likely be sometime this winter.

The community of Woodbridge and beyond was deeply saddened when, in 2023, the beloved local bowling alley on Main Street announced it would be permanently closing.
The bowling alley was owned for years by the DiSilvestro family.

“It is with the most heartfelt words that we let all of you know, after 40+ years under the management of Joey D and 20+ years under the ownership of the DiSilvestro’s, Woodbridge Bowling Center will be closing their doors," the bowling alley said at the time. “It is time to take the next step in our lives and enjoy retirement.”
Since its closure, Woodbridge Township adopted this Woodbridge Bowling Center Redevelopment Plan, as the Township said it did not want the 1.3-acre property to sit vacant.
"This Redevelopment Area should be a highly desirable location for a business to thrive," Woodbridge Township said at the time.
