Woodbridge Woman Turned 101 Sunday
This longtime Port Reading resident shared some wisdom on how she's led a long and healthy life:
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — This past Sunday, Jan. 15 a longtime Woodbridge resident turned 101 years old.
Hue Nguyen is originally from north Vietnam, but she has been living in Woodbridge for the past 30 years.
She lives with her daughter, Nhung thi Nguyen, age 78, in the Port Reading section of town.

This past Sunday, Nguyen was honored with a mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic church in South Plainfield, and then she was celebrated at a party with her very large extended family of children and grandchildren: She has three children, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and even four great great grandchildren.

"Her wisdom for life is to always be active and eat healthy," shared her granddaughter, Nhu Nguyen. "She love fish, rice, veggies and fruits. Small meals. She keeps her mind happy as much as she can. She is still riding on her indoor bike everyday. And she goes to mass regularly."
"Her wisdom is keep no stress in your mind if you don't have to," said her granddaughter. "And eat healthy. We are very proud of our grandmother."
