This festive program features cherished holiday classics and orchestral favorites, including Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival and Sleigh Ride, selections from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, and Alan Silvestri’s Believe from The Polar Express. Additional highlights include the spirited Hanukkah Fantasy, as well as rich arrangements of Brazilian Sleigh Bells and Fantasia on Greensleeves. Discover one of the 20th century’s most beloved choral treasures this Christmas season with Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols. The composer’s beautiful setting of medieval texts creates a unique listening experience—sometimes playful and dance-like, sometimes hushed and reverent, yet deeply moving throughout. <a href="https://emilylevinharp.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Emily Levin</a>, principal harpist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, joins the treble voices of the Cathedral choir to bring this magical work to life.
All guests are invited to stay and enjoy a Christmas Lessons &amp; Carols service at 4:00 PM, immediately following this performance.
