LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — One person is dead after a car went up in flames Thursday morning on Queens Boulevard, according to the FDNY.

The blaze started about 10:15 a.m. between Jackson and Skillman Avenues, where Queens Boulevard crosses the Long Island Rail Road tracks.

It's unclear how the fire started. Authorities haven't released the name of the victim.
