2 Babies Found Dead In Queens Homeless Shelter: NYPD
The NYPD is investigating the deaths of two infants found not breathing in a Queens homeless shelter Friday afternoon.

EAST ELMHURST, QUEENS — Police are investigating the deaths of two infants who died after being found unresponsive in a Queens homeless shelter Friday afternoon, authorities said.
The father of the two-month-old boy and girl put the babies down for a nap midday Friday in the Landing Family Shelter in East Elmhurst, according to a police spokesperson.
Several hours later, he discovered the babies weren't breathing and called 911, police said.

EMS rushed the babies to Elmhurst Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
