3K Queensbridge Residents Lose Hot Water In Hours-Long Outage
The entire Queensbridge North Houses development lost hot water for several hours Monday, according to NYCHA.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — An outage left more than 3,000 Queensbridge residents without hot water for several hours Monday, according to the public housing authority.
The water supply went cold about 5 a.m. Monday for the entire Queensbridge North development, NYCHA reported on its website.
The 14-building public housing complex in Long Island City has a total of 1,543 apartments.

Hot water returned to the taps Monday afternoon after workers made repairs to the complex's boiler equipment, according to the agency.
It's unclear why the outage happened.

"Providing our residents with uninterrupted services continues to be our top priority," NYCHA spokesperson Michael Giardina said in a statement.
"While today's hot water service interruption at Queensbridge North Houses has already been restored, NYCHA staff remain onsite to monitor service for residents," he added.
Residents experiencing issues in their apartment should create a work ticket by using the MyNychaApp or by calling the Customer Contact Center at 718-707-7771.
