An Astoria woman pleaded guilty to charges that she shot her boyfriend to death, then set his body on fire, according to Queens prosecutors.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — An Astoria woman pleaded guilty to charges that she shot her boyfriend to death, then set his body on fire, the Queens district attorney's office said Thursday.
Dawn McIntosh admitted to fatally shooting her boyfriend, 43-year-old Brooklyn resident Shron McWhorter, the night of Aug. 28, 2015 in Astoria, then lighting his body on fire and getting rid of the gun she used to kill him, according to prosecutors.
McIntosh, 50, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to a charge of first-degree manslaughter for the slaying.

Queens Supreme Court judge Barry Schwartz is expected to sentence her to 24 years in prison, followed by five years' post-release supervision, prosecutors said.
