Bernie Sanders Returning To Campaign Trail With LIC Rally
Sen. Bernie Sanders will return to the presidential campaign trail with a Saturday rally in Queensbridge Park in Long Island City.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Bernie Sanders will his mark his return to the presidential campaign trail with an afternoon rally Saturday in Long Island City, two weeks after he had a heart attack and landed in the hospital. The Vermont senator, 78, is hosting a rally with an unnamed "special guest" in Queensbridge Park — rumored to be U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is expected to endorse Sanders for president, The Washington Post reported Tuesday night.
The Queens rally is the presidential hopeful's first campaign rally since he was hospitalized earlier this month and forced to cancel a number of events and appearances. Sanders has been the top pick among Queens donors to Democratic presidential candidates, The New York Times has reported.
We are the strongest campaign to take on Donald Trump. But that's not all. We are going to transform the country.
Join me and a special guest in New York for a rally this Saturday, Oct. 19 at Queensbridge Park. RSVP here: https://t.co/nyqtMVEcXQ
