Daughters of Mokanna: Embracing Sisterhood and Service at Azim No. 106

Celebrating a Decade of Unity and Philanthropy in New York City

On Saturday, May 11th, 2024, Azim No. 106 had the distinct honor of hosting Jennifer Arnold, the Supreme Mighty Chosen One of the Daughters of Mokanna, along with Cindy Gay, a former Supreme Mighty Chosen One. Their visit to the Advance Masonic Temple in Astoria was a celebration of unity, tradition, and the enduring bonds that defines their sisterhood.

**A Historic and Beautiful Venue**

The gathering took place in what we call home, the beautifully refurbished Advance Masonic Temple, a location steeped in history and charm. The careful restoration by the Masonic lodge brothers added a touch of elegance to our event, making it a perfect setting for reflecting on shared a journey. Azim is one of several masonic groups that meet in the building.

**Unique Among New York's Fraternal Organizations**

Azim No. 106 is one of only two enchanted realms in New York State, standing proudly alongside Lalla Rookh #68 in Rochester. Our realm is enriched by the leadership of Michelle Mitchell, our current Mighty Chosen One, and the invaluable contributions of past leaders like Ayleen Robertson, Angelina Teran, and Angelique R. Mann. These women bring a wealth of experience and dedication from their involvement in additional female orders as Past Worthy Matrons in the Order of Eastern Star and other fraternal organizations.

**Celebrating a Decade of Dedication**

As we look ahead to our 10-year anniversary celebration in August 2024, we invite you to join us in honoring a decade of achievements. This milestone will not only celebrate our past but also reaffirm our commitment to the core principles of the Daughters of Mokanna: honesty, truth, justice, equality, and love.

**Our Objectives**

At Azim No. 106, we are committed to both social engagement and philanthropic endeavors. From supporting the Grotto's Humanitarian Foundation to volunteering at local charities and organizations, we strive to make a positive impact in our communities and beyond. Imagine being part of a group where memories are shared, bonds are strengthened, and every woman is encouraged to thrive. Picture yourself walking in the footsteps of historical figures like Eleanor Roosevelt, who also cherished the values of our organization.
