SEE IT: Fire Breaks Out In Long Island City's Xi'an Famous Foods
The fire sent heavy smoke into the air and shut down traffic along part of Jackson Avenue in Long Island City.
LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A three-alarm fire broke out midday Thursday in the Long Island City location of Xi'an Famous Foods, sending thick smoke billowing into the sky and shutting part of Jackson Avenue to traffic.
The fire started about 1:20 p.m. inside a shaft at 26-19 Jackson Ave., according to a Fire Department spokesperson.
One person was hurt, but the victim's injures aren't life-threatening, the agency said in a tweet.

Firefighters closed the avenue to traffic between 44th Drive and 43rd Avenue while they battled the blaze, which took over three hours.

Video shows firefighters shooting streams of water onto the building's top floor amid wafts of heavy smoke.
The fire was under control by 4:20 p.m., according to the FDNY.
Fire marshals are investigating how the fire started.
