ASTORIA, NY — A newborn baby was found dead near a park in Astoria Saturday morning, an NYPD spokesperson told Patch.
Police responded to a call at 36th Avenue and Crescent Street, near Dutch Kills Playground, around 10:50 a.m.
Police said officers found an unresponsive and unconscious male child who was taken to Elmhurst Hospital. A cause of death has not been determined.
