Three-Car Collision In Queens-Midtown Tunnel Stops Traffic: MTA
A car crash shut down traffic in the Queens-Midtown Tunnel for roughly an hour Tuesday morning, city officials said.

LONG ISLAND CITY, NY — One person was injured in a three-car collision in the Queens-Midtown Tunnel Tuesday morning, stopping traffic for roughly an hour, city officials said.
The crash happened just before 10 a.m. in the tunnel's Queens-bound tube, which was two-way at the time, according to an MTA spokesperson.
Officials closed both lanes in that tube for an hour after the crash, emergency alerts show.

The driver responsible for the crash is believed to have suffered a medical episode, the MTA spokesperson said.
Emergency responders brought him to the hospital for an evaluation.
