Armed Robber Strikes Several Queens Businesses

Queens has been struck by a series of commercial robberies, and police are asking for the public's assistance in finding the suspect.

In each instance, police say that the suspect entered the location armed with a gun, demanded money and fled. No injuries have been reported, though the suspect did fire shots while robbing a Shell gas station in Laurelton on Aug. 22. (see below for more details.).

The suspect was reportedly seen wearing beige shorts, a black t-shirt, tan work boots and a baseball hat with a t-shirt hanging from underneath.

As of Thursday, a total of six Queens businesses had been hit:

• Tuesday, July 26, 2011, 4 a.m., Pathmark Supermarket, 134-40 Springfield Blvd.

• Thursday, July 28, 2011, 5:25 p.m., T-Mobile, 05-20 Jamaica Ave.

• Monday, August 1, 2011, 3:38 a.m., Walgreens, 119-02 Rockaway Blvd. 

• Monday, August 1, 2011, 3:45 a.m., 7-11, 218-01 Northern Boulevard. 

• Monday August 22, 2011, 2:50 a.m., Shell Gas Station, 185-25 North Conduit Ave. The suspect fired shots, but did not strike anyone. He fled on foot eastbound on North Conduit Ave. with an unspecified amount of money.

• Monday, August 24, 2011, 9 p.m., Family Dollar, 199-09 Jamaica Ave.
