Members of the Department of Design and Construction milled and paved the streets from 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The pavement is expected to be "completed by the end of next week," according to a DDC spokesperson.
A multimillion-dollar infrastructure project from the city will add 30,000 linear feet of storm sewers, about 288 linear feet of new catch basins, and water main replacements that will make up about 40,000 linear feet.

Council Member Vickie Paladino, who represents College Point, said that the milling will not affect the Memorial Day Parade on College Point Boulevard Sunday.
“The people of College Point have suffered for years on account of this project," said Paladino. "DDC so far has stayed on schedule, this milling and paving is coming right on time. I will continue to work closely with DDC to maintain the timeline and ensure the smoothest possible work for College Point.”
