Construction In College Point: Warehouse, Parking To Be Set By 2024

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A new warehouse will be built in College Point, installing itself in a lot near The New York Times printing facility by 2024.

College Point Logistics Center will be located at 28-02 Whitestone Expressway by the end of next year, adding a multi-floor parking facility in the area.

"The industrial and logistics market is in desperate need of a modern warehouse and distribution facility, especially in such a prominent location along the Whitestone Expressway that provides immediate access to all major NYC highways,” said Adam Gordon, managing partner of Wildflower, the building’s developer.

The structure will include a parking facility with 81,000 rentable square feet of industrial space, 160,000 square feet of enclosed parking spanning two floors accessible via a ramp, and 68,000 square feet of surface parking and loading space.

The real estate firm Walker & Dunlop arranged a $94 million construction financing and $49 million in equity placement with the developer to build the warehouse.
