Little Neck Week In Review
Providing a forum for frustrations, follow-ups and general fraternizing since November 2010
It was a week that began with news of the violent end of an apparent drug deal gone wrong that left a Douglaston man dead and a Little Neck teen charged with murder.
In the days that followed the March 16th incident, many readers of both Little Neck and Douglaston Patch weighed in on the charges. Judging from some of the comments on stories such as and a later report against the Little Neck teen, Caleb Ahn, and Karma Sonam of Astoria, this crime seemed to strike a nerve among many in our mostly quiet corner of Queens.
Perhaps it was the young age (16) of the defendant. Or maybe it was a mix of grief and anger over what seemed to be the senseless killing of the victim in this case, Bernard Cho.

There were also comments that questioned the very nature of news sites like this one, including the role reporters play in communicating tragic events like that experienced just over a week and a half ago.
Many commenters brought up good questions. And though there will be no easy answers to them here, there is today a forum for those frustrations, follow-ups and general fraternizing that didn't exist five months ago.
