Poll: Will You Be Heading to the New Aqueduct Racino?
Resorts World Casino flung open its doors to thousands on Friday. Is it a good thing?

On Friday, Queens became home to the city's first and only gambling metropolis with Resorts World Casino, which offers New Yorkers all the chintzy glitz of Atlantic City without the multi-hour commute.
Thousands swarmed the 2,280 slot machines and 200 electronic game tables mere moments after the ribbon cutting, reports the New York Daily News, and still more waited outside after the casino quickly reached capacity.
While many see the glimmering new "racino" as a boon for both the area economy and their own personal gambling affinities, others worry what sort of unsavory elements the bright lights might attract.
