FLORAL PARK, QUEENS — The Queens County Farm Museum reopened to the public Sunday and marked the occasion by unveiling an art installation grown on its grounds.

"Cover Crop," by local artist Aaron Asis, is a planted composition of sweet peas, buckwheat and rye that covers a half acre of farmland, according to a news release.

It is the farm museum's first site-specific installation.

“The experience of wandering through 'Cover Crop' is an unexpectedly calming, peaceful, and meditative experience — a stark contrast to most things you expect to experience in New York City — and a unique way to connect us with the physical earth in a new way," Asis said in a statement.

The installation is on view through Sunday.
