Queens Libraries Closed Due To Tropical Storm Isaias
The Queens Public Library closed seven branches Tuesday that reopened last month for to-go service, citing Tropical Storm Isaias.
QUEENS, NY — The Queens Public Library has closed its seven open branches due to Tropical Storm Isaias, according to an email alert sent midday Tuesday.
The following libraries, which have been open for to-go service since July 13, will be closed:
- Bayside Library
- Bellerose Library
- East Elmhurst Library
- Kew Gardens Hills Library
- Laurelton Library
- Long Island City Library
- Peninsula Library
Isaias could batter New York City with wind gusts up to 70 mph and drenching rainfall Tuesday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.
