As prices at the pumps across Little Neck and the rest of the U.S. continue to skyrocket, feds weigh options

Gas prices continued to march toward the benchmark of $4 for a gallon of regular Monday morning, with city drivers sustaining an average 13-cent increase from a week ago, according to the American Automobile Association.
One option currently being weighed, according to this New York Times article, is a release of part of the nation's strategic oil reserves to push up supplies that would, in turn, lower prices.
