Gas prices again made international headlines this weekend with the beginning of an allied air assault against the government forces of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, helping to send prices for a barrel of light sweet crude oil over the $100 mark yet again.
Locally, price increases at the pump continued to modulate. However, that was little consolation for motorists paying on average 73 cents more per gallon than this time last year.
