UPDATE: Your Daily Pothole, Filled

Workers fill Little Neck Parkway tire-trap on Monday

O.K., it may not be breaking news on the order of the nascent civil war in Libya, the Supreme Court refusing to hear the city's appeal over a clean-taxi mandate or even this timely item about a pop sensation's coiffure change — but motorists along Little Neck Parkway will take it.

Yes, we're talking potholes. More specifically, we're talking about located along the busy thoroughfare between Iowa Road and West End Drive.

Apparently on Monday, a road crew, most likely with the city Department of Transportation (which as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, had reported 215,111 potholes filled since July 1, 2010), came by to fill the tire-trap with fresh asphalt.
