Wednesday: Violin Concert, Classes for Kids at the Library

Composer and violinist Jason Kao Hwang will perform at Flushing Town Hall at 7 p.m. The admission fee is $10, but the event is free for students and members. Musicians can bring their own instruments and take part in a jam session.
Flushing Town Hall is located at 137-35 Northern Blvd.
The Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., is offering its Mother Goose Time, during which children between the ages of 18 months and 2 1/2 years can take part in nursery rhymes songs and other activities. The program begins at 11 a.m.
And the library's Toddler Time kicks off at 1:30 p.m. This class, which is for children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 years, includes songs, stories and rhymes. For more information on both classes, visit the library's website.
Queens Restaurant Week kicked off on Monday, giving borough residents the opportunity to eat prix fixe meals at more than 40 borough eateries.
Northeast Queens restaurants participating in restaurant week include Bourbon Street, Donovan's of Bayside, Papazzio Restaurant, Pier 25A and many others.
