Weprin to Hold Event for Northeast Queens Residents and Their Pets on May 5
Pets and Pals Day will kick off at noon at Alley Pond Park.

Councilman Mark Weprin, D-Oakland Gardens, and the city’s Parks Department will host Pets and Pals Day for northeast Queens families on May 5 at Alley Pond Park.
The annual event will include a microchip clinic for pets, raffles with prizes, rides, games, arts and crafts, giveaways, animal demonstrations and pet adoptions.
“Pets and Pals is a great community event that the families of eastern Queens look forward to each year,” Weprin said.
The event will run from noon to 3 p.m. at the park, which is located at 76th Avenue and Springfield Boulevard in Oakland Gardens.
