Here are the top three stories in Buffalo today:

  1. Motorists stopped their cars to release balloons on the westbound Kensington Expressway on Saturday. According to police, the 20-minute blockade of the highway was deemed "extremely dangerous." The event was planned as a memorial tribute to a man who died Jul. 16 in a motorcycle crash. The police were not informed prior to the event. (Buffalo News)
  2. A man was arrested early on Sunday for shooting at officers. According to police, officers responded to calls of a threat at East North Street and Orange Street around 2:40 a.m. The 36-year-old, who appeared to be armed, fired at officers. According to police, no one was injured in the incident. The man had a .45 caliber Smith and Wesson and a .9mm Glock-17 in his possession. (WIVB.com - News 4)
  3. A 19-year-old was shot in his leg early Saturday morning. Police say the man was shot just before 12:30 a.m. on East North Street near Johnson Street. Detectives say he has been listed as stable at ECMC. Anyone with information is asked to come forward. (WIVB.com - News 4)
