3 Buffalo Officers Wounded In Gunfire-Filled Car Chase: Report

BUFFALO, NY — Three Buffalo officers were shot Tuesday during a 40-minute car chase that led police from one side of the city to the other amid a barrage of gunfire, according to reports.
Buffalo police confirmed the injuries following the chase, which began on the city's West Side and ended at Fillmore Avenue and East Ferry Street, The Buffalo News reported, citing Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia.
It's unclear what prompted the chase, though the News described scanner traffic during the incident as "chaotic."

As of Wednesday morning, one officer was in a stable condition while the others sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the News reported. The officers were in separate patrol cars when they were struck by gunfire at different locations during the chase.
Police arrested two people following the chase, the News reported. One was taken to the hospital for treatment. No names were released.
