  1. A Buffalo landlord has been sentenced for knowingly exposing his tenants to unsafe levels of lead. 54-year-old MD J. Abedin was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge, ordered to keep his rental properties compliant with health department orders, and required to perform 100 hours of community service. Abedin admitted to failing to comply with public health law between July 2019 and November 2021 after a child tenant tested positive for lead exposure. (WKBW 7 News Buffalo)
  2. A $7,500 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers WNY for information about the homicide of Malik Jones. Jones was killed on Aug. 10 on East Utica Street. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at (716) 867-6161. (WGRZ.com)
  3. Governor Kathy Hochul has announced major waterfront projects in Buffalo. Congressman Brian Higgins, NYS Department of Transportation Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez, and New York State Parks Commissioner Eric Kulleseid joined Hochul for the announcement. The plans include restoring more than 21 acres at Canalside and 200 acres on the Outer Harbor by 2025 for over $300 million. (WIVB.com - News 4)
