Here are the top three stories today in Buffalo:
- On Tuesday morning, a Buffalo man was indicted on murder and attempted murder charges following a police-involved shooting. Nakeem D. Haynes is accused of shooting a 63-year-old man at Broadway Avenue and Sears Street on Jun. 17. He is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 4 for a pre-trial conference and is being held without bail. - On Monday, the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division, Fourth Department, ruled against preservationists in a decision regarding the Great Northern Grain Elevator. The court denied both the preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order which prevented the building from being demolished. The Great Northern Grain Elevator had been damaged during a winter storm last winter and preservationists made an attempt to save it. (WGRZ.com)
