Here are the top three stories today in Buffalo:
- On Monday, a Buffalo teenager pleaded guilty to two murders. 19-year-old Calvin D. Clemons pleaded guilty to single counts of first- and second-degree murder in the killing of Trenton Jacob Sink of Lockport and teenager Felix Aguirre of Buffalo. Clemons faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole. (Niagara Gazette)
- Buffalo Public Schools are experiencing a shortage of teachers and substitute teachers. At the end of the 2021-2022 school year, over 130 teachers resigned and 100 retired from the district. The Buffalo Teachers Federation stated that the low salary for the district plays a role in the staff reduction. (WIVB.com - News 4)
- The Buffalo Police Department is searching for a missing man who was last seen in the East Aurora area. Brian Richardson was last seen the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 9, and is described as a white male, approximately six-foot-three, with brown/gray hair, hazel eyes, and a light beard. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately. (WKBW 7 News Buffalo)
