- Starbucks Workers United is alleging that a worker at a Tonawanda Starbucks was fired for union activity. According to the union, while the union says that they were told they had the discretion to modify store operations, management fired the worker for closing the store lobby without permission. Workers walked out on Friday in response to the firing and continued the strike into Saturday. The union says that this is the ninth union leader in Buffalo to have been fired due to union activity.
