.) With Canadian vaccine requirements and requirement of the ArriveCAN information gathering app expiring September 30th, officials expect Canada to drop border restrictions for US citizens at the end of the month. "We will never be fully removed from COVID but we can get into a management mode and depending on people to do the right things and the vast majority of Canadians, the vast majority of Canadians have done the right thing to protect themselves," US Rep Brian Higgins said.

.) Buffalo Teacher Federation teachers walked out of a school board meeting and picketed in honor of requests for a “Fair contract now.” The picketing occurred on E. Ferry Street outside of the School of Visual and Performing Arts, where teachers have been working the past three years without a new deal for their contracts.
.) The city takes steps to preserve two historic Blacksmith shops in the Cobblestone District. The Brown administration has drafted a resolution that calls for preservation and, hopefully, renovation of these properties. The buildings in question are 110 and 118 South Park Ave.
.) Ran by five local colleges and various community partners, the 2022 Buffalo Humanities Festival: Life in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, will occur this upcoming weekend. Friday night, Torn Space Theater will host a Afrofuturistic story-telling performance game, which will be followed by a weekend of community conversation at the Silo City.
Details can be found via Buffalo Rising.
.) You might have seen fuzzy Bills hats this Monday, which are quickly becoming the newest Bills fashion statements thanks to nonprofit Water Buffalo Club 716. The nonprofit is beginning to pair with Stitch Buffalo, which is a nonprofit that employs new Americans and refugees.
