  1. Corrections officer Jason Cross resigned from his position after being arrested and charged for bringing contraband into a prison. The 38-year-old has been charged with three misdemeanor counts and is likely to be decertified. (WGRZ 2)
  2. State funding for the new Bills stadium has been cleared, and construction work is expected to begin in June under the oversight of Steven Ranalli who currently oversees Canalside through the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation. While the project hopes to create local jobs, there is no guarantee that the stadium will only use the local workforce. (The Buffalo News)
  3. Earlier this week, four firefighters delivered a baby to an unhoused mother on the city's west side. This uncommon birth follows the death of one of the department's workers in the four-alarm downtown fire earlier this month. Firefighter Tyler Barrie commented, "you lose one brother but then you bring in another life in the world that's pretty awesome." (WGRZ 2)
  4. Today and yesterday, the Buffalo National College Fair is downtown at the Convention Center. The fair hasn't occurred in the past three years due to the pandemic. Today, it runs from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. (WKBW 7)
  5. A man from Rochester has plead guilty to slashing tires during December's blizzard and for stabbing two people on Letchworth Street in a separate and later incident. The 23-year-old man, Saquan Young, faces up to four years in prison. (WIVB 4)
