  1. Thursday marked the first of two informational cannabis expungement clinics in Erie County, held at Elim Christian Fellowship in Buffalo. With the county's legalization of adult marijuana use and possession, Buffalo and Erie County representatives are helping community members navigate the process of expunging marijuana-related criminal offenses. A second clinic will be held on Saturday, Sep. 24; visit erie.gov for additional information. (WGRZ.com)
  2. The Buffalo Public Schools district is seeking to hire both substitute teachers and certified full-time teachers. The district, which interviewed over 70 potential candidates during a hiring event on Thursday, is still seeking to fill over 100 substitute roles. Any qualified applicants interested in either substitute or full-time teaching jobs are encouraged to apply online. (WGRZ.com)
  3. Western New Yorkers can experience the rich culture of Egypt at this weekend's Egyptian Festival in nearby North Tonawanda. The three-day festival kicked off yesterday evening and will continue today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) at St. Mary & St. Moses Coptic Orthodox Church. Attendees are invited to explore Egyptian heritage, faith, and food throughout the weekend. (Spectrum News)
