Here are the top three stories in Buffalo today:

  1. Governor Hochul has announced $682 million in funding for affordable housing across the state. The aim of the housing initiative is to reduce homelessness as well as provide safe and secure housing for everyone. "We are working tirelessly to expand much-needed affordable housing across New York State, and these new developments will help us build towards a more stable and equitable future for the next generation," Gov. Hochul said. Whitney Apartments in Buffalo's West Village Historic District will receive $31 million for repairs to about 135 apartments as well as the reservation of 21 apartments for unhoused veterans. Heneghan was president of the Gaelic American Athletic Association, Chair of the Board of Directors at the Buffalo Irish Center, and owner of Tara Gift Shoppe on Abbott Road.
