  1. As the labor pool continues to shrink in the region, unemployment remains low for the Buffalo Niagara area. The unemployment rate was the lowest it's been for December in more than three decades, landing at 3.2%. That percentage translates to only 17,400 people looking for jobs, while the region has 24,400 positions to fill. Learn more through The Buffalo News.
  2. The American Heart Association and NFL Play60 have teamed up to provide St. Mary's School for the Deaf with a whole-body wellness grant. The grant will be used to purchase physical activity equipment for the school's students. Find out more at Niagara Frontier Publications.
  3. Abdulla Abdalla, a 24-year-old Buffalo man, has plead guilty to felonies after shooting at a moving vehicle. The vehicle was being driven by an individual who was feuding with Abdalla over a woman. No one was injured by the gunshots. This incident occurred in the Black Rock neighborhood about two years ago.   4. The pipes of the former Buffalo Grand Hotel, now a Ramada, burst during the December blizzard. This water damage is following an incident of arson that occurred about one year ago, during the hotel's conversion. Learn more at The Buffalo News.
