- A New York State production company is working on a documentary, which will be called "A Luv Letter 2 Buffalo," about the Tops mass shooting. The production company, Nightmare KIDzz Productions, is based in Syracuse with creative partners in Long Island. About six months ago, they halted their current project to shift gears and tell the stories of the ten lives lost on May 14th. The final product, which will be shown for free in Western New York, will feature family testimonials and art from Buffalo performers. To read more about it, visit WGRZ 2.
- Governor Hochul announces the opening of a community outreach center for the developing around the Kensington Expressway. The development project hopes to reconnect the areas of East Buffalo that have been separated by the highway and already has an estimated billion set aside for it. The outreach office will continue to act as a place of connection between the project, the government, and the residents. Learn more at WIVB 4.
- Every state legislative seat in Erie County went to Democrats earlier this week. Democrats had concerns, specifically cited by Senator Sean Ryan in the newly created 61st Senate district, because of how redistricting was aligned. For more information, read WBFO NPR.
- Anchor Bar is expanding its franchise to six new locations nationwide. The new locations, which are currently being negotiated by the chain, are in Florida, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and North Carolina. This is not the first time out-of-state locations are being opened, with Anchor Bars already existing in Texas and Ontario. Learn more at WKBW 7.
