Here are the top three stories today in Buffalo:
- A Buffalo man allegedly transferred thousands of dollars to himself from an elderly victim. The man has been charged by state police with grand larceny, identity theft, and forgery. The 31-year-old was acting as an aide for an elderly victim when he reportedly transferred about $18,000 to himself. Anyone who has been victimized by the man is asked to contact the police. - Footage has been released of a fatal shooting on West Utica Street on Aug. 4. The shooting resulted in the death of a 41-year-old man and the injury of a 54-year-old. The person of interest is shown in the video footage wearing a white tee shirt. Click the link to see the video and contact the police if you can identify the perpetrator. (WIVB.com - News 4)
- Local historical buildings may be in danger of collapsing, according to concerned residents. Executive Director of Campaign Greater Buffalo History Architecture & Culture, Tim Tielman, is leading the charge on addressing neglect of historical buildings after the Half and Half building's facade collapsed in 2019. The city says that anyone with concerns about buildings deteriorating to call 311. (WKBW 7 News Buffalo)
