- Thursday at the Johnnie B. Wiley Amateur Athletic Sports Pavilion, National Grid will partner with Back to Basic Ministries and FeedMore WNY to host a food drive and provide information about National Grid's community assistance options. National Grid will also donate 500 bags of groceries and go over company payment options. The event will last from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. Learn more about the event via WKBW 7.
- According to Governor Kathy Hochul, the Bills stadium deal, which would move the football stadium to downtown Buffalo, is almost solidified. Hochul said that a community benefits agreement is an important part of the project so that the stadium can best serve the community. - The Tools Library, a volunteer organization in the University Heights neighborhood, lends tools to community members looking to fix-up and maintain their property. Founded in 2011, the library has over 3,000 tools in inventory. Read more through Buffalo Rising.
- On account of the Erie County Department of Health, the Jesse Nash Health Center's covid testing and vaccine services will end at the end of January. Very few people have been utilizing this location since medical offices and pharmacies have been able to provide vaccines and testing. Considering it is more to vaccinate children under the age of three, the Erie County Department of Health Immunization Center will continue to offer the new pediatric vaccines. - Home Beneath Our Feet, a local non-profit, teaches students a balanced lifestyle through holistic education.
