New York Weather: Buffalo, Rochester Under Winter Storm Watch
The watch, which is in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 1 p.m. Friday, could bring as much as 9 inches of snow to parts of the state.
BUFFALO, NY — The National Weather Service on Tuesday issued a winter storm watch for all of western and north-central New York as forecasters keep their eyes on a system expected to move into the state Wednesday.
The watch is in effect from 1o p.m. Wednesday until 1 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo. The system could bring heavy snow to the state, dumping more than 9 inches in some areas.
Currently, the watch includes the cities of Buffalo, Rochester and Niagara Falls.

Conditions could affect the morning and evening commute on Thursday as well as Friday's morning commute.
