- REACH Academy, one of Buffalo's newest charter schools, is expanding its space and grade levels. The project will be an $8.5 million investment . The school is at the former site of Maritime Charter School. Read more at WGRZ 2.
- After the snow removal operation, the Western New York governments are still calculating the cost of this snowstorm. Many New York politicians, including Governor Kathy Hochul and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, wrote to President Biden asking for eleven regional counties to be declared eligible for Federal Emergency Management Administration disaster assistance. "We were grateful that the president did say that we reached the threshold of emergency need,” Gillibrand said. “A lot of families really suffered during this storm." - The NFTA has announced that University Station will be closed between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. Mondays through Fridays starting on December 5th. The NFTA will be working on interior renovations. Read more at WGRZ 2.
- A Slovakian man copied the Buffalo mass shooter. He wrote online that Payton Gendron, who shot 10 people to death in the Jefferson Ave. Tops last May, gave him "new inspiration" to kill. Further information can be found at The Buffalo News.
- A city employee was killed on McKinley Ave. on Wednesday during snow removal efforts. “We are heartbroken,” Brown said. “We are in pain right now having suffered this loss.” The employee's name has not yet been released to the public. Learn more at WIVB 4.
