  1. The most recent unionization push at South Buffalo's Tesla plant is the second that the factory has seen. The first, which occurred in 2018, attempted to partner with the Clean Air Coalition of Western New York and the Coalition for Economic Justice. These two organizations do not seem to be present in the most recent unionization campaign. (The Buffalo News)
  2. The Black Doll Exhibit at the Merriweather Library shows the evolution of Black dolls. Erie County legislator April Baskins explains the importance of dolls like those in the exhibit, saying "If we can make sure that we are uplifting dolls in a young woman's life, where she's imaginative, she's playing and she's imagining what her life will be like and teach her that that doll that she's playing with, while she's in that imaginative and creative space is beautiful, she will see herself as beautiful." (WGRZ 2)
  3. Buffalo Dream Weavers donate winter clothing on the corner of Bailey and Broadway in an effort called "Warm it Forward." The founder, who recently passed away, designed the donation system to keep the community is being taken cared of "from the inside out." (WKBW 7)
  4. The possibility of cruise ships being the waterfront's newest project will be discussed more once a consultant is chosen this coming season. Great lake ports already include other rust belt cities, such as Cleveland and Detroit, and experts say that the plan to make a Canalside port are very "feasible." (The Buffalo News)
  5. This weekend, the Explore & More Children's Museum hosted a free admision event for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield member. For all other visitors, admission was "pay what you can." Advancement Manager Mariah Prentiss commented on events like this one, saying "we want to make sure that we’re accessible to every family. So days when we can provide free through Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, or ‘pay what you wish,’ just means we are being true to our mission." (WIVB 4)
