  1. Buffalo Tesla workers have told the National Labor Relations Board that one day after publicizing their plans to organize a union, at least 18 employees (some report 30) were fired. Arian Berek, one of the Buffalo organizers, stated, "I strongly feel this is in retaliation to the committee announcement, and it’s shameful." This could potentially complicate the relationship between Elon Musk and Joe Biden, who is pro-union. (The New York Times)
  2. On Twitter yesterday, current Erie County Executive, Mark Polancarz, stated he will run for re-election. He is running for a fourth term, which would be unprecedented. (The Buffalo News)
  3. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested with three counts of assault in the first degree in relation to the shooting at Club Marcella last weekend. Three people were shot at the club, the youngest of which was a 21-year-old man who died at the club. (WGRZ 2)
  4. CPR Training kits are coming into the local libraries where they will be available for check out since, as Director John Spear put it, libraries "are all about learning." This is done in collaboration between Buffalo and Erie County Public Libraries, Buffalo Bills Foundation, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York, Lawley Insurance and the American Heart Association.   5. A 29-year-old Buffalo man has plead guilty to one count of manslaughter in the first degree. During an at-home dispute, Andre C. Whigham strangled his girlfriend to death. He is now facing up to 25 years in prison. (WKBW 7)
