  1. Payton Gendron, the 19-year-old responsible for the May 14th Shooting, plead guilty in court Monday morning. Gendron was indicted on 25 charges, including the first charge of a domestic act of terrorism motivated by hate in New York State. During a press conference prior to the hearing, Mayor Byron Brown and Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia both spoke of gun law reform. Read more at WIVB 4.
  2. The Buffalo Police Union wants clarification from the state on medical marijuana laws and drug testing in their union. The company the union currently uses for random drug testing reports positive tests without cross-referencing it with any prescriptions. Learn more at WKBW 7.
  3. In suburbs like Williamsville and Amherst, high-end apartments continue to be granted subsidies and tax-breaks. The Amherst IDA has granted almost $2 million in tax breaks to developers.   4. Keyanna Houston, a 16-year-old Buffalo girl, went missing yesterday and the Buffalo police are asking for help in their search. She is a black female of 5'3 height and about 150 pounds. Her clothing is undetermined. For more information, visit WKBW 7.
  5. Black Monarchy, a small business in Buffalo's five points neighborhood, is bouncing back after a break in this weekend. The store specializes in African and African-inspired garments. “It's more for the people of the community to come in and breath a little bit, a space that we feel is refreshing to the community,” said the owner, Averill Dove, who is quickly working towards reopening.
