1. GoFundMe page, "John (JT) Perkowski and his daughter Kinley," was created by Barry Cain of Hampton Bays. "The Riverhead community is devastated by the loss of 4-year-old Gracelyn Perkowski. We hope that the community can support Gracelyn's father, John Perkowski and daughter Kinley. Any contribution can help through this difficult time," the page said. According to New York State Police, Amy Wesolowski was driving a 2005 Toyota RAV4 with her daughter Gracelyn when the car collided with a 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by Sonya Fezza, 29, of Water Mill. 2. Matthew Verderosa, a 25-year-0ld Coram man, was placed under arrest and was hit with 43 charges — including burglary, grand larceny, and 33 active warrants — after investigators learned he was responsible for burglarizing Home Depot and Dick's Sporting Goods on the South Shore, Suffolk police said. He was additionally charged with seven counts of petty larceny for stealing from stores in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th precincts, as well as seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and 33 bench warrants in connection with other larcenies, according to police. 3. A proposed site plan for an expanded tasting room and other improvements at Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard wasn't approved at a recent Riverhead Planning Board meeting. Residents near the Sound Avenue vineyard were opposed to outdoor live music and other proposals. (RiverheadLOCAL)
